Unfortunately, you are right. The platform we were using before, POEditor.com, is very expensive, and we quickly run out of strings, but we don't have the funding to purchase more. Therefore, as announced on Twitter yesterday, we have just moved to another, free translation platform. The translations are now located here: https://github.com/masterleague-net/translations ; see instructions at the bottom of the page.
I was trying to see team winrates on different maps, but i couldnt see it from the masterleague.net/teams or /maps
It would be great if you could add a page to those that tells each teams winrate and games played on different maps (and maybe filterable with tournaments or patches?). Maybe even winrates against different teams?
Thank you for your feedback! You can find team winrate on different maps on the team page, for example https://masterleague.net/team/chu-8-my-hotdoge/ (section Most Played Maps). But it's obviously not the best representation. Recently, we released a big statistics update for meta, players and maps pages. We also have plans to rework teams and heroes pages and we'll try to make what you asking for and even more. Soon.
Привет! Нет, это турнир студенческих команд и мы погрязнем в работе, если будем забивать даже только финальные матчи. Вдобавок, почти гарантировано, что ни одного из игроков мы не увидим во второй раз.
Bracket challenge: For the tournaments/events where there is a structured bracket, it would be nice to be able to fill out the entire bracket in advance based on who we think would win. I live in NA and a lot of the Eastern Clash games took place overnight when I could not have possibly been awake to fill out the bracket. tl;dr: I've fallen from my consistent placing at 2nd~3rd place since the season started down to 9th and i'm super salty about it.
Thank you for your feedback! First season of our bracket challenge is in a test mode, so we collect all feedback, including yours, in order to improve our competition in the future. We have a development pan for the next two months and we will not have time to implement what you're asking for before the start of the second part of the season and before Mid-Season Brawl. I am the only developer of the website, I have a daily job and it is hard to find enough time to do everything that is suggested by the users. But I add all feedbacks to my big to-do list and will try to implement most significant tasks in the future.
It's okay, I'll claw my way back to the top... hopefully :)
Also, I appreciate that the challenge bracket was quickly thrown together for HGC. A quick stop-gap that I had in mind for when there's a tournament/event is to put up "upcoming matches" that don't have the actual team names, something like 'Winner LB1' vs' Winner LB2'. Then you have the entire bracket there and team names can be filled out as the event progresses. It doesn't need to be pretty!
However, I don't know to what extent the game list is automated, so maybe this suggestion is highly impractical (does heroes esports actually have an API for this stuff? i would think not...).
Thanks for all the work you guys have put into this site, and I'm having a great time following the bracket challenge.
When we did the bracket challenge I laid the ability to add to the "upcoming matches" games with unknown teams (it's shown like TBD vs TBD), but we were unable to use it because of the specificity of the internal implementation. For example, team from the left side could be the Winner LB1 or Winner LB2, depends on the internal id of the opposite team. We had to do so for internal optimization, but it have side effects like I described above. But you gave me an interesting idea, I will think around that, may be I could fix it easier than I thought.
Upcoming matches extend manually, but maybe we can change it later. For now there is not too much games to be a problem to add them by the hands. Unfortunately there is no offcial API from Blizzard for HotS, but I heard that they are going to add it.
Hmm, what if you make dummy matches for the undetermined matchups so that people can pre-populate, and once the teams are known, after you create the real matchup in the db, copy the predictions over as a subsequent step? admittedly i know nothing about your database structure, but could it be as simple as adding an UPDATE that changes the associated series number for all the predictions on the dummy to the real series number, followed by a line to DELETE (or just hide) the dummy series? that way you don't have to worry about updating the teams or continuity or anything.
edit: never mind, i misunderstood your first paragraph and i get it now. good luck with this!
Can you display the basic and heroic abilities of heroes on their page? I use this website for looking up builds, and sometimes I'd like to read the abilities again, making me google the wiki website for it.
love the web site and all the information you guys have put together. i real enjoyed the challenges system you add for this season. I do wish or want to see if you consider change up how you do the tournament part of the challenge to be more of a bracket challenge for points. I want to bet on more of the match but do to you not knowing who was playing there was no way for me to bet with out being awake and with a 12hr different with RL it hard to do. So if you have a bracket system i would have filled it out and just seen how good it was or not and just watch the VoD the next day rather then fighting to stay up and then waking up early to bet. it not an end or but I also think of the flip side as ppl use this site from all over the world for me the challenge was Easter Clash but other could be later with NA playoffs and EU players come mid season.
Thank you for your feedback! I've answered a similar request above https://masterleague.net/comment/30/permalink/ Briefly, most likely we will not have time to fix it before the start of the second season of the prediction challenge, but in the future we will certainly try to find a solution to solve this problem.
